Inauguration of this library took place in 1418 A.H. under the supervision of the office of Ayatollah al-Uzma Sistani (may Allah protect him). The library contains 15 thousand volumes of books on different Quranic topics including various styles of interpretations and commentaries in Arabic and Farsi languages. Many from among them are important source books.
Some of the objectives of this library are as follows:
1- Purchasing and providing books.
2- Collecting specialized articles and proposals.
3- Collecting and publishing Qurnic articles in different languages such as English, German and French.
4- Preparing a special calendar for research and translated articles.
5- Holding specialized scientific discussion tables.
